Rebuild the school infrastructure
KNSV is in desperate need of revival in its infrastructure as well the educational setup. The number of kids in need of education is constantly growing and as a consequence KNSV school is increasing its number of students drastically. All additional students were absorbed without any significant investment in infrastructure to accommodate those kids. The school lacks infrastructure to accommodate 13 classrooms (Nursery, Kindergarten I and II, Class I - X). Additional classrooms need to be constructed in order to properly conduct all classes.
However, even the current infrastructure is in dismal state and needs immediate attention. Our priorities are the following:
-The broken water pump system to supply water needs to be rebuilt in priority.
-The toilets and bathrooms are also in extremely poor state and need immediate attention in order to ensure a more hygienic environment for the kids.
-The classrooms are in open air, which has been weathered down and now unsuitable for classes in any adverse weather.
-The hostel is in need of immediate repair of plastered walls which are falling apart, electrical wires and connections which are a lingering hazard at all times, and the general cleanliness is difficult to maintain.
-The kitchen used for preparing food for hostel students is in need of serious renovation in order to provide a hygienic and clean cooking space, as well better storage areas for food items.
-The administrative buildings as well as the library room within find itself in similar condition, needing adequate seating and lights for reading.
The renovation works will be done over a period of the next few years based on the amount of financial support the school will get.

Sponsor a teacher
The school has 14 teachers today. Due to lack of funds, these teachers are not very well paid due to lack of financial resources of the school. The average salary of a teacher in this school is $40 a month !! Although many of the teachers are qualified, the motivation and morale is in the trenches. Most are working with the thought of providing a community service rather than focusing on delivering a high quality of education and having pride in their work.
The teachers’ salaries are to be revised to bring them to an acceptable level and closer to comparable salaries in the market. This is essential to be able to attract good teachers, and thus be able to provide a higher quality of education than today. Though the current pool of teachers are well qualified in general, some need to be replaced with more qualified ones, and new teachers are needed in subjects such as English, Computer Science, and Mathematics. This will bring confidence and accountability to the teachers that are missing today, and boost their morale and motivation. In addition, it is essential educational experts provide seminars to teachers on how to teach in a more innovative manner, and deal with the psychological as well and physiological dynamics of the students that are part of this school.
Hiring and training of new teachers and replacement of current teachers with more qualified ones will be done in accordance with the financial support that the school will get.
